5 Ways to Drink More Water


So as the hot weather is now upon us (well, some days anyway!) I thought I would share with you some tips on how you can drink more water throughout the day. I know it's something that a lot of people, including me, struggle with. I tend to just 'forget' to drink sometimes when I am caught up in a busy schedule and that's not good for your body. Your vital organs need water to be able to function efficiently. If the body is lacking in fluid you will become dehydrated. Studies have recently shown that if you are even just half a litre dehydrated, it can increase your cortisol levels (cortisol is a stress hormone). So by staying hydrated, this will help reduce your stress levels. You can be dehydrated without even knowing as when you sweat and or urinate you lose body fluids so you need to make sure you are drinking around 2 litres of water per day. Drinking water also helps keep your skin looking fresh and less dry and increases your energy levels leaving you feeling great throughout the day.
